South Oxfordshire Heat Basketball Club currently in second place

A good-humoured team of primary school children from South Oxfordshire Heat Basketball Club are currently in second place in a local basketball league contested by seven teams from Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hampshire. Heat player Reeve Mahalingham (8, Abingdon Prep School) pictured second from the right with the rest of the Heat under 10s now has 54 points in the league to date and is heading for a 100 point season. Over 300 children across the different age groups are competing in the youth basketball league which will run until April 2018.

League positions to date:

  3. Shenley Scorpions, 8 points
  4. Oxford City Hoops, 8 points
  5. Winchester Royals Girls, 6 points
  6. Reading Rockets, 4 points
  7. Solent Kestrels, 3 points
