Paralympic Stars support Push2Podium Wheelchair Tennis in Oxfordshire

On Saturday 4th November the White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre hosted the Tennis Foundation's Push2Podium scheme. The event was attended by 15 players of all ages some travelled as far afield as Portsmouth and Leeds to join the session. Most of the player either lived in the Oxfordshire area or attended University in the area. We also had a cross over of players from WHLTC Wheelchair Basketball session . The session was coached by Ash Smith from the Tennis Foundation with the help of Louise Hunt and Marc McCarroll both of whom have represented Team GB at the London and Rio Olympics. Jordanne Wiley also came along to support the event, she competed in Rio and won the Wheelchair Ladies Doubles event at Wimbledon this year, whilst not able to take part due to expecting a baby in February, she thrilled everyone to by bringing her Rio bronze medal for everyone to hold and look at, this was a great motivator to all those who attended.
