International Women's Day

It's International Women's Day on Wednesday March 8 - and we're inviting all women and girls to mark the occasion by doing a little something to get active. This year IWD's theme is #BeBoldForChange, with the aim of forging a more inclusive, gender equal world. Helping to address the numbers gap in terms of women to men exercising is one of the key ways to make a difference.

On a day when women around the world join together to celebrate their social, economic and cultural and political successes, it's the ideal time to show we can all stay fit, regardless of gender religion or age.

It follows hot on the heels of the new This Girl Can campaign launch - back after a hugely successful debut year in 2015 - with the new TV advert premiering online at midday on Friday February 24.

So get involved by checking out some of the International Women's Day women-only activities running across Oxfordshire and be inspired by the case studies from individuals, volunteers, teams and groups who are already leading the way.
