Get Physical is a partnership launched in 2015 to improve health and wellbeing in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
The initial focus was on encouraging the take-up of physical activity among NHS staff and patients. This has now been extended to the wider workforce with a number of key employers signing up.
Oxfordshire Sports and Physical Activity and Oxford Academic Health Science Network started the initiative.
Other organisations and employers soon came on board including Get Berkshire Active, Leap (the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes activity partnership), Public Health England and NHS trusts in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Major regional employers have also signed up to Get Physical. They include BMW, Unipart, Vodafone UK and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen.

A first Get Physical event in December 2015 brought together almost 150 health and sports professionals for an interactive workshop to explore how NHS staff and patients could incorporate daily exercise into their lives. The video below gives a fantastic overview of the event and the Get Physical Programme.
