Organisations & Funding Bodies

Sport England

Sport England is committed to helping people and communities across the country create sporting habits for life.

This means investing in organisations and projects that will get more people playing sport and creating opportunities for people to excel at their chosen sport.

The current funding programmes are:

• Small Grants
• Community Sport Activation Fund
• Inspired Facilities

Oxford Sport Council

The Oxford Sports Council is a not for profit organisation that aims to improve the participation and excellence in sport in Oxford. Annually it awards up to £10,000 worth of grants to Oxford City based voluntary sports clubs, organisations and individuals.

Just Giving

Sport England, JustGiving, and The Sport and Recreation Alliance have come together to make it easier for clubs to raise money and claim Gift Aid, enabling volunteers to spend more time on sport and less time on administration.

Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action (OCVA)

The OCVA Development Team is available to help you with your fundraising and project planning, plus you can sign up to their monthly funding newsletter. Their Resource Centre holds many publications about fundraising e.g. writing a better fundraising application, community fundraising strategies, and corporate fundraising strategies.
