In Oxfordshire, we recognise that our staff, partners, coaches and volunteers are our greatest asset. By supporting and developing the paid and volunteer workforce, we offer better access to sport and physical activity. Therefore increase participation.

Coaching is central to the development of any sport and to the individual participating in the sport. It is estimated that 1.1 million people coach regularly in the UK in environments ranging from the school playground to the international arena, however coaching is a continuing process and as such needs to be developed.

The recruitment and development of high quality coaches will not only contribute to improving the quality of existing activity but also generate new activity and increase participation.
